Gareth Cattermole/Getty ImagesWell-known author Sophie Kinsella, writer of the popular rom-com “Confessions of a Shopaholic” series, died Wednesday after battling brain cancer, according to her family.“We are heartbroken to announce the passing this morning of our beloved Sophie (aka Maddy, aka Mummy),” her family announced on social media. “She died peacefully, with her final days filled with her true loves: family and music and warmth and Christmas and joy.”
