Nexperia Warns of Chip Quality Risks as China Arm Defies Orders From Dutch HQ

Fabian Bimmer/ReutersDutch chipmaker Nexperia has warned customers that it can no longer guarantee the quality or authenticity of chips made at its Chinese facilities, saying its subsidiaries in China have disregarded management directives from the company’s Dutch headquarters.In a Nov. 5 statement, the Dutch-based semiconductor firm said that despite “positive steps” such as China’s recent move to allow limited exports from its factories and a one-year U.S. suspension of a key export rule, the company’s Chinese operations have gone rogue.
