The high-dose influenza vaccine may reduce hospitalizations among older people when compared with the protection from standard flu vaccines, according to new studies that provided mixed results.

Researchers in Spain found signs that the high-dose vaccine made by Sanofi Pasteur reduced hospitalizations compared to a standard shot, but statistical significance was not reached.
