US Ready to Partner With Canada to Counter China: Ambassador Hoekstra

U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra said his country and Canada have an “enduring” relationship and that the two should cooperate to counter the threat posed by China.

Hoekstra made the comments during an interview with podcaster Jasmin Laine released on Aug. 12. He spoke on the state of current trade negotiations between the two countries and what factors are having an impact, and mentioned areas where Ottawa and Washington could increase cooperation.
