Eleven people were killed on Thursday when the armed forces of both Thailand and Cambodia exchanged fire during clashes along their shared border.

Bangkok and Phnom Penh have accused each other of starting the military clashes, and both governments downgraded diplomatic relations on Wednesday, after several Thai soldiers were injured by a land mine. Thailand sealed its entire 500-mile border with Cambodia, closing all crossings.
